Service Learning At Furlow Charter School
Our Service Learning scholars give their time and talents in various areas around the school. Scholars are currently placed in Cafe Furlow, with Mr. Sumner in the maintenance department, and in classrooms all over the building. They complete assignments focused on learning about leadership, communication, helping others, and looking for ways to contribute to the overall culture and mission of the school, as well as tasks assigned by their service learning advisors like teaching small groups, making copies, organizing events, and mentoring younger scholars.
